Learn to Fly & Melbourne Scenic Flight
PILOT A HELICOPTER
Put your skills to the test in this incredibly unique experience where you will learn to fly a Guimbal Cabri G2 helicopter. With no previous expertise required, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pilot your very own aircraft. At a time chosen by you, your Host will take you to the nearby Essendon Fields Airport, where you will be met by your certified flight instructor.
Begin your experience with an all-important flight briefing, introducing you to flight safety and the use of helicopter controls. Shortly thereafter, it is all systems go! Take off from Essendon and head South to Bolte Bridge. At this point, your flight dream becomes a reality, as the pilot duties shift over to you. Take over the controls of the helicopter and fly across to the South side of the city, over Albert Park Lake, and the renowned Melbourne Cricket Ground (better known as the MCG).
From there, make a turn towards Coburg for a bird’s eye view of Pentridge and The Interlude on your way back to the airport. Spend your final ten minutes as captain learning how to hover the helicopter.

A SCENIC EXPERIENCE
Your Host will take you to the nearby Essendon Fields Airport, where the Melbourne Heli team and your pilot will meet you. After learning about flight safety and all other essentials, it is time to let the adventure begin!
Jump into a Robinson R44 helicopter and take off from Essendon. Head South to Bolte Bridge and continue flying past the South side of the city to Station Pier, where you will descend to seven hundred feet above the water. Follow the coastline to the famous Brighton Beach Boxes. Return past the Shrine of Remembrance and the Melbourne Cricket Ground (also known as the MCG) before heading back to Pentridge, and then finally returning to the airport.
