If you’re hot while sleeping, your cortisol levels are likely to stay high which can lead to increased anxiety, food cravings and weight gain – sleeping naked helps keep the body at its optimal temperature.
2. Improve skin and hair
A drop in body temperature encourages a deeper and longer sleep. Not only does this mean you’ll be less grumpy the next day, but better sleep causes the release of growth hormone and melatonin, both of which prevent aging. Also, sweating too much at night can dry hair out (due to the salt) leaving it prone to breakage.
3. You’ll be happier
Less clothes to wash and less money spent buying pajamas = happy, and if you sleep with a partner, the skin on skin contact encourages release of the happy chemical oxytocin.
